The Company started a full operation of its new warehouse at Kansai International Airport in June, 2007. The warehouse had been constructed in the international cargo area in the lead-up to the opening of the airport's second runway on August 2 of the same year and introducing an around-the-clock operation.
Before the warehouse was completed, the company shared a warehouse with other firms in the same cargo area of the airport. Export and import cargo were handled in two different areas. In our new warehouse, however, export and import cargo are handled at one location, enabling the speedier and more efficient operations.
Loading export cargo on ULD by ourselves and receiving import cargo on ULD facilitate cargo transfers between air carriers and us. We are working to minimize cargo damage, prevent theft and improve the lead time and quality of our services for the customers by promoting such ULD intact transport services.
The facility is constructed in the international cargo area on the airport island, which is in a superior environment with the latest security and safety control measures. We monitors important cargo 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, for crimes such as theft with a central surveillance system.
The latest workstation is designed to allow we to build ULDs, which can be transported safely and quickly throughout the international network.
YLK strives to reduce cargo-damage during transportation by our own ULD build, as well as the careful and safe break down of cargo by ourselves.
Favorable location in the airport's international cargo area, across from airlines warehouses such as JAL's or ANA's, enables speedier carring in and out of export and import cargo using our own dories.
